  • Carol McDonald

    Carol McDonald (they/them) is a nationally recognized strategist, advocate, and executive leader whose two decades of experience span key roles at organizations like Planned Parenthood Southeast, where they led a multi-million-dollar campaign to reposition reproductive healthcare in the South, and at Trust Women and the Abortion Access Now coalition. As Founder and CEO of Meridian Solutions, Carol has advised major national organizations—including EMILY’s List and the Human Rights Campaign—on social impact, political strategy, and ballot measure campaigns that helped enshrine abortion rights post-Roe, drawing on their background in political communications from firms like Mission Control and 76 Words. In addition to serving on multiple national boards, Carol advances cultural organizing through creative platforms like Black Girl Basel and Black Women Cinema Week, centering Black women, trans, and nonbinary voices in art, activism, and community building.

  • Kesha Bruce

    Kesha is a nationally recognized artist, curator, and arts administrator whose career seamlessly blends artistic excellence with a steadfast commitment to social justice. Her commitment to creativity and bold social transformation is evident in in her leadership roles with Baang + Burne Contemporary Art and the Tessera Art Collective. In her current position as Director of Artists Programs at the Arizona Commission on the Arts, she develops and facilitates professional development initiatives that support multidisciplinary artists. Her own work is held in prestigious collections such as the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture and MoMA’s Franklin Furnace Artist Book Collection. As co-founder of Black Girl Basel with Carol McDonald, Kesha champions spaces intentionally created for Black women creatives, maintaining a global presence through her ongoing artistic and advocacy work.

  • Liz Tran

    Liz Tran is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Pacific Northwest whose work draws on dreams, nature, outer space, and the human psyche. Centered in painting, her vibrant practice also spans sculpture, murals, and immersive installations. Known for bold, synthetic color and a community-based approach, Tran creates joyful, therapeutic experiences that reimagine organic forms. She has curated and collaborated across disciplines, served on the board of Vibrant Palette Arts Center, and worked extensively with people of all ages and abilities.

    Liz’s art is held in numerous public collections, including multiple  healthcare facilities and the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad. She has been commissioned by entities such as VH1 Save the Music, Seattle Art Museum, and Vulcan Inc., and supported by various grants, fellowships, and international residencies. Liz holds a BFA in Painting and Print Art from Cornish College of the Arts.

  • Alexia Lewis

    Alexia Lewis is a Los Angeles based creative director/producer, artist, and arts journalist who is obsessed with efficient creative workflows and processes. With up to two decades of experience leading premium photo, video, and event production and communications teams in media, publishing, and education, she specializes in creative operations tailored to each organization.
